Got everything checked off your list for a successful Valentine's Day date night? You have to make the reservations weeks in advance, good luck finding a babysitter if you have children, spend at least 2 hours getting dressed up, and don't forget about the gift (cough, cough).

Well, this year Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday. So, you may be thinking about staying in for the night. There are many, many different at-home date ideas out there. We took the tedious task of searching through the clutter off your hands and created a one-stop list of ideas:

1. Netflix and Chill

Pop some popcorn and stream your favorite romance movie on Netflix. This date night idea is perfect for a simple and relaxing, yet romantic, night in. Click on the link for the top 8 movies to stream on Valentine's Day.

2. Dinner for Two?

Remember the classic Disney movie scene in Lady and the Tramp with the spaghetti? Your special night in doesn't have to include a fancy dinner that took all day to prepare. It's about who you are with. Add some ambiance to your dinner for two with candles and a bottle of wine.

Tip: Add more spark to your evening by making dinner together!

3. Do a Project Together

It may seem like work but doing a home improvement project together can bring some fun to your evening. Paint your kitchen or living room that color you both love and turn on your favorite music.    And don't be afraid use that one dance move that makes your partner laugh!

4. Wine Tasting

Go to the store and pick out a few bottles of wine – whether it is your favorites or something you haven't tried before – and create your own wine tasting selection at home. Also, buy some snacks like cheeses and pretzels to pair. Need some extra romance for this one? Go through your wedding photos or photos from when you first started dating and reminisce.

Millennials surpass Generation X and Baby boomers in population size. They have a powerful influence on multiple platforms including housing trends. Yes, they have been criticized for their narcissism and non-traditional behaviors. But they embrace change like no other generation has before.

This is actually a good thing! The housing market is changing (for the better). This makes first time home ownership much more realistic for millennials. In fact, they are the largest group of first time home buyers. Last year, they made up more than one-third of total sales. That's huge! Additionally, it is predicted that the economy and employment will continue to grow in 2016. This will generate an increased income that they can use for their new, or next, home.

Additionally, they have started to shift things away from what their parents and grandparents considered the 'norm.' Traditionally, 81% of home buyers were married couples. Today, that has declined to 67%! Also, the percentage of home buyers who are unmarried couples is increasing.

It seems 2016 will be an exciting and promising year for the housing market!
